How Do I Get Started In Affiliate Marketing?
To get started in affiliate marketing you may want to sign up at Clickbank and JVZoo.
They are both selling information products even though the ones at JVZoo are much cheaper at $9.95 and focused more on internet marketing as compared to Clickbank whose products range from $27 to $100 and more on health, hobbies, personal development and a range of other topics you can find at your local bookstores and libraries besides just internet marketing.
Signing up is pretty self-explanatory.
10 years ago, if you asked me how to get started in affiliate marketing, I will say placing ads in classified sites and Google Adwords because that is how I got started in 2008.
But now, I will say pick a product or topic you know about and can help others. Below is my basic outline of how affiliate marketing works.
If you have no idea, then what I will suggest is to promote the product you just bought and shared with others your thoughts, what you like and don't like about the program in your blog, find other blogs in your niche and posted relevant comments while linkng to your blog as well.
Besides having a blog to let people know who you are and build a relationship with them through blog commenting and sending emails which i will explain more later, you also need a squeeze page which is a one-page website that promises a free gift in the form of a free PDF report, e-book and video in exchange for their name and email.
Once they signed up for the free gift, an email will be sent to them to download or access rightaway in a link while they will be redirected to a one-time offer - otherwise known as front-end product.
It will be a video course that is normally $27 if it is from Clickbank or $9.95 and sometimes lower at $5 if it is from JVZoo.
If the person buys, you get paid a commission fee which can be 50% from Clickbank and full commission from JVZoo since the price is so low.
But that is not all.
If the person buys the front-end one-time offer product, he will be presented with a series of upsells or backend products.
They normally complement the main product but are much better in terms of providing value to customers.
They can range from $37 to $97 from Clickbank or $27 to $50 from JVZoo.
If a customer buys which from my experience is usually 1 out of every 10 customer who buy the front-end product, you get paid more commissions.
If the person do not buy any product for whatever reason you can follow up with them in emails you can sent through autoresponder.
Which is a web-based application that allows you to create optin forms, squeeze pages, stores your subscribers' email addreses and allows you to send unlimited emails providing valuable content and recomending relevant affiliate products at the same time.
